![]() (1999) ‘Reading an Archive: Photography between Labour and Capital’ In: Evans, J. ![]() I haven’t really worked with an archive and hope that as this course develops so does my experience in working with my own archive. Not being present at these events myself I find myself applying my view of the narrative that at times seems to stem from an art stance and at other times from a scientific stance. However, many of the images are of now historical events which he attended and recorded that would fit into the instrumental realism camp. Certainly, going through this archive has great sentimental value due to them essentially being the family photographs. Where would my father’s archive sit within Sekula’s discussion.
